Jeep Posse Adds Crisis Intervention Skills

Posted on November 24, 2024March 1, 2026 by Steve Reinhart
Jeep Posse member Kate Bauer has recently finished a very important training for Crisis Intervention. Search and Rescue Teams frequently make the first contact with the subject. Having trained personnel is critical to having a good outcome when search subjects are affected by alzheimer's, dementia, bipolar, or other mental disorders.

Trained Crisis Intervention personnel have been shown to cut response times in as much as half as compared to waiting for law enforcement agency personnel to respond. As always, safety is the top priority. Any response will consider whether the subject is a danger to themselves or others.

"I've trained in mental health most of my adult life. This training is so so valuable for our"protectors" because they are trained warriors, now they can respond with an ear to mental health while always keeping safety first" - Kate Bauer

The Jeep Posse appreciates Kate's leadership, dedication, and efforts to help us better serve our community. These new skills are a welcome addition to the Jeep Posse's portfolio. Well done Kate!
